THE HISTORY OF VRUK PEDAL

Patented, USA, UK, Japan, Worldwide Patents pending

Vruk was produced in 1988 and according to many,it was produced at least decade ahead of its time. It created absolute stir in world of drums. The prototype of Invention was introduced to Charlie Morgan ( Elton John drummer) prior production in 1987. Charlie was extremely excited with vruk and he quoted the Invention as "The breakthrough technology".

Cozy Powell was so impressed with performance by Mr Vruk ( Inventor of vruk pedal technology) that he decided to endorse the product as soon as it was released. Cozy Powell arranged a meeting with Yamaha executives in London.Yamaha showed an enormous interest to be involved with vruk. Unfortunately, the negotiations with Yamaha wasn't successful.
In 1989 vruk was introduced during Frankfurt Exhibition as a part of DW booth. Mr Vruk was demonstrating the product and technique alongside with Jim Chapin. Jim was impressed with the motion of vruk technique triple strokes . Jim said " Vruk is Moeller on foot".
Since 1989, until the present day vruk technology becomes the Cult. Majority of vruk players today are using vruk as " comfort playing" as it greatly helps drummer to "stabilize the stroke". Vruk is bass drum pedals "shock absorber", the fifth gear which will make your playing comfortable and relaxing, even at high speed

Cozy Powell would be greatly missed in the world of drums not just as a great drummer, but as wonderful person as well . Cozy was introduced to first Vruk prototype and he provided a numerous advises and contacts in those early days of Vruk production.

Quote: "What amazes me is the speed and power of the strokes you can achieve with Vruk. I believe that this is definitely going to be a future of playing the bass drum. It is absolutely worth mastering"
1987

Charlie Morgan was also introduced to Vruk early prototype, and was very interested in actual progress of Vruk production. His influence, advise and connections in the world of drums was enormous help and inspiration during the production and marketing of Vruk

Quote: "This is an amazing drum accessory. With minor change in base drum technique drummer should be able to achieve the sort of speed normally only possible with two base drums.

I tried it myself and I could see the difference in an incredibly short time. In the past 50 years of percussion there have been relatively few changes in the actual technology of drumming, but this heel plate is something totally new and I believe it presents the potential to open up some exciting drumming technique changes".1988

Dave Weckl was introduced to Vruk during Frankfurt Exhibition. Dave was extremely interested in actual technique and motion.

Quote: "Brilliant. The motion is slightly different and I can see where the speed is coming from. This is a great technique and I would recommend it to any drummer . Perfect to start with . 1992

Dennis Chambers uses rocking motion technique. Speed of his foot is simply outstanding. Great person and great drummer Dennis presented to Vruk the biggest compliment.

Quote: "Man, this is faster then, what I can do". 1992

Gregg Bissonette the outstanding two bass drum player and legend of drumming was extremely interested in the motion of Vruk technique.

Quote: "Fastest and most powerful double strokes I ever seen. Fantastic".1989

Vinnie Colaiuta one of the fastest drum pedal player , carefully observed the action of Vruk technique.

Quote: "Very, very interesting".
1992

Jim Chapin. Mr.Vruk himself was a guest on DW stand at Frankfurt Music Fair playing alongside Jim Chapin, the legend of Moeller technique. Jim found the motion of Vruk technique as extremely familiar to motion of his hands

Quote: "This is very similar to the motion of my hands. Vruk technique could be described as Moeller on foot".1989
